Gnome Rouge, Northern Desert

So with two +3 mana preps and +5 health for a Rogue, things get kind of ridiculous. I didn't do anything too disgusting, but I bet someone with more experience than me can find some way to pull off a sick stunt here.

The Shifting Passages Halfling Rogue run was potentially rough, I was lucky to find JJ very early and relied on the usual boost shenanigans. I wasted a lot of piety, then misclicked and took Chaos Avatar early instead of boosting bars, but JJ shenanigans are still too reliable even when you play super-sloppily. Weytwutting enemies to avoid the level gimmick and having the HP to tank a hit from the boss as a rogue is amazing. Ended up third overall, could have taken a solid second if I had just a little more awareness and didn't make a million mistakes. Not too difficult a run overall.

The Northern Desert Gnome Rogue daily felt AMAZING. It's so free that I didn't even care to rush too much, I just wanted to enjoy being handed this overpowered mix. 4m14s, currently third, I expect to drop down a page or two by the time the day is over, but I still had lots of fun, and got Cheeky, Parches, Hoarder, Faithless and Specialist.

I actually Zotted at around the right time for once. Aequitas goes down easily if you can tank one hit. You just have to get him down to "max HP", fireball him some, and then hit him. If you want to use mana potions, then you can do it earlier and don't have to tank a hit.

For the Goo, I used Zot, exploration fireballs to get down to max health, explored to full, fireballed some more, and then used a standard level-up refill to finish it. No potions needed. I even converted to EM for this, but the Clearance mana wasn't even needed.

Overall, some early help from GG made it easy to two-shot some things for a lot of bonus XP. I forgot all about Consecrated Strike, which would've been another way to hurt the Tower of Goo. With Elven Boots, Mana Boosters, and Gnome, I wasn't even thinking about it, I guess.

Finally able to play again. Gnome Rogue of GG with all those mana preps was a delight.

I did not fancy any of the offered altar preps today. Binlor is boring; GG is so cliché; I did give some fleeting thoughts to picking up Taurog and/or Dracul just for the sheer anti-synergy (and the uphill "can I pick up enough resists to compensate for, well, being a squishy little rogue" struggle), but in the end I rather went with all the preps that boost casting. :P

Default altars were actually quite decent, both Earthmother and Tikki Tooki are lovely for a Rogue, I picked the latter because it plays simpler (and since I had no intention of keeping PISORF for long, and I didn't want to risk getting walled off by statues). I played like my usual slowpoke self, though I did go tastefully crazy with XP (tastefully because I picked one altar and stayed faithful all along; I can imagine someone really shameless doing something like Earthmother for IMAWAL -> TT for Learning, sprinkle with Alchemist's Pact... Oh the horror! 8-) ).
"Thinker", just without the "ache".
