So since the goatperson daily I've taken to first running one trial run with the same race/class/dungeon combo and a rough approximation of the preps I plan to take to have an idea of what I'm doing. Since I saw Orc Wizard with Binlor I decided to go with one of those punchomancer builds everyone raves about. Went real smoothly, so I started the daily, mana boosters, translocation, vampiric blade, not a lot to say, my biggest mistake was pushing the boss into a spot where I couldn't use knockback on him (after chasing him around the map for piety.

Real nice, refreshing run, I expect to see some fast times on this one.

I should have done the trial run thing too. I decided to try and be all speedy today, but this only led to me forgetting that Count Blahblah has Retaliate: Fireball. I think I'll keep things nice and leisurely in future challenges. =P

It's a shame too, because I prepped GG and was really enjoying my potion conversions. =T

Also, before anyone acuse me of cheating or something like that, I didn't cheat and my score isn't bugged because of the test version, it's because:

I almost got pwned by Shifty Brickwork!

Slowly shaking the rust off, since I've apparently forgotten enough to get punished by those annoying deities a lot. I did the Swamp daily yesterday in what was effectively Vicious Token mode due to preparing Mystera and then immediately getting punished at the start of the level for killing a warlock. A total of two fails so far, one due to getting inventory wiped by GG and one due to clicking too fast at level 3 and dying.

Anyone else feel Zot and Yendor are showing up way too often in these dailies?

Haven't posted anything here in a while.

3/22 When I think of casters, Elf Thief rarely comes to my mind, but with +1 glyph, 1 more potion of each and an extra mana booster it has a solid base. Potions alone restore 300% mana and the Thief is pretty good at chopping popcorn too.
I went with MA since this is one of the few Elves who benefit quite well of her and also ran into JJ with a Bysseps and Gettindare lying around. It's a good thing I played parched, this way I had the potions to make my stats ridiculous :P
Was a really fun run.

3/23 Yay, goats finally! I love the combination of Fewer and Extra Glyph, but on the off chance I get MA, 130 CP glyphs would interfere with Refreshment, so I picked something else. My guess was right, the dungeon had her altar indeed. I prepped extra attack boosters, SS, the shield for the CP and translocation seal, which I nicely forgot to use :P

This place is filled with plants, so I decided on square one I'm not gonna bother playing parched, the 1st mushroom I found I ate right away. Glyphs were awesome: B2P on a map with 3 spellcasting gods? Incredible! Wonafyt for food magnet, Pisorf for cheap corrosive creeper smashing, Pisorf is always good and even Apheelsik to turn 2 of the bosses into jokes.
And altars were obviously phenomenal. Between rushed Enlightenment all of MA's boons, corrosion stacking and casual clearance spam my goat became a better spellcaster than the previous theif
It showed on my xp as well, despite taking humility I almost reached a 2nd prestige.

Btw anyone else noticed RG has more monsters than other dungeons? Somehow I always remembered that it has regular monster count, but some golems are locked away. Don't know why I had this weird belief, after all the place has 4 lvl 9s.

3/24 Dwarf Assassin. Not the best combo, but every Assassin is great by default thanks to Apheelsik and SH. Ick Swamp is one of my favorite dungeons, the spoon and wisp gem drops can turn anyone beastly, and if you find Pm you can also rack up a silly amount of CP.

Didn't pick Binlor neither MA, they are both kinda weak on this map. Went with Zot for the mana, the subdungeon prep to have a vampireless, safe blackspace reserve for the bossfight, extra apothecary - I like cutting plants for spoons, and extra gold never hurts.
Had such an early JJ and Getindare find I couldn't refuse going JJ for the millionth time in these dailies. Not to mention more potion shops can easily cancel out JJ's curses, so why not?
Plant-heavy maps really reward Gettindare spam, so no wonder that by lvl 3 I looked like an elven healthmonster. Warlocks boosted my attack by 40%, there was a Dwarven Gauntlet somewhere, picked up a Venom Blade, so I really can't complain about damage either.

What was very weird though is that the place didn't drop any spoons. I tend to get at least ~5, this time I ended up with 1 single spoon after cutting everything. I had an Ick run today as well and only got 2 on that. Did the algorithm of the dungeon change recently?

Not having too many spoons to worry about have benefits as well, this way I had enough room to hold a Halpme and a Fire Heart. Just for kicks I killed Itsssama by regenfigthing at lvl8 and only asked for CA later. To Frank I showed the real power of a Dwarf, massive 300 HP amplified by Pm's Scholar Pact. I punched him to death in a single ding, didn't even need FH :P

Somebody spilled raspberry juice all over the place!
