Not a graceful run at all but it worked out ok. Ultimately Goblin, Bloodmage, JJ, Fireball Magnet prep, make it basically unlosable as long as you play the map OK (and Endiswal doesn't hurt). In the top 10 for time and 3rd for XP. Some decent glyph conversion into higher level kills early on.

Skill decay is real. Spent so long trying to work out where I could and couldn't attack from.

I remember seeing Tinker got top XP, can't remember how much it was though. Anyway, this time, it's really the powerful combination of all things magic that makes an otherwise hard map relatively "easy".

Gnome Sorcerer, Doubledoom

This combo with two Elven Boots... yeah, way overkill. I didn't find the altars 'til late, so I missed out on some piety and boons.

I've decided to celebrate the one-year anniversary of the Dailies by doing an L1 bosskill:

It also helped my mood that I got one of my favourite builds, on one of my favourite maps. It was way closer than I would've preferred, I actually held off converting the Balanced Dagger until I was certain I don't need to fall back on a "somehow still level-up with no resources left whatsoever". It was that nasty Mana Burn that made corrode-stacking non-trivial, but he still took less resources than the other boss would've, given how late I found them. As I had to sacrafice IMAWAL to land the last volley of fireballs, I'm probably not going to be contending for top XP today, but it still felt pretty cool to pull this off... :D (Now that I know where stuff is... And what stuff is there... I probably could do a much simpler L1. Or do it without the Martyr Wraps. Or maybe double it up with a second kill for even more hilarious XP spiking. But that's perfect information for you. ;) ).

Fun fact of the day: desecrating Dracul at L1 only costs you the amount of max health you have above 1. So a starting character, who is yet to pick up any boosters, only loses 9 health. Now, losing health is a really big thing on a Sorcerer, because you effectively lose the benefit of your health-restoration ability, though it can be useful in certain fringe cases - like, for example, if you have CYDSTEPP and want to play like a Warlord... ;)
"Thinker", just without the "ache".

Ahahahaah oh man this combo.

I doubt I got anything special on the leaderboards but I picked up 7 badges (all except specialist, purist & warmonger) while I was at it and cleared the board with a ton of blackspace to spare.

Nice bosskill Tinker 8-)

I know it can be done but I am not as bold as Tinker, so, here's my 2nd position attempt:

http://images.akamai.steamusercontent.c ... C85A36B1D/

Could have gotten better, even matched Tinker's score if I weren't so conservative (could have used potions, refreshments, conversions for more potions to kill the bosses even earlier). Anyway, it's done. Forgot to check the piety record - I could have gotten top for that, just look at the ending piety shenanigans, dumping stuff to farm up 50 piety after CA to join Dracul, then taking a couple shots of Sanguine to drink up some bloodpools for more piety and to dump all the health potions, and finally going back to JJ to dump the last mana potion.

Actually, I still had a bit of time left to check the leaderboards but was too caught up trying to use my naked eye to observe the Solar Eclipse happening like right now (Ouch! hurts my eye, there's some protective filter on my living room windows, but it still hurts. Could see a bit of the portion of the sun "covered" up by the moon - it's not dark, but I can see the difference).

@Vemb: Yeah, Tinker verified it and posted to the bugs thread.

Goblin Warlord in Creeplight Ruins
This is the 367th Daily, and (given the leap year) our 1 year anniversary of the 1st daily! It's a very nice one for those going for XP, with GG and lots of obscene leveling opportunities. I decided to clean up in the end, but regretted it upon seeing the score screen that it cost me top spot for time to spend two minutes carefully racking up all the XP I'd left lying around :?
