That"s true, but the monk would need a buff if he were changed to 25% resists...

So the solution is obviously to nerf the two best combos that we've mentioned. Death protection is a cool mechanic but waaay to good in a repeatable glyph, as you've mentioned. Warlords will need a new glyph then. And new abilities...

Unstoppable Force: Start with the KANTUCHDIS glyph. It costs 4 mana and grants 1 damage reduction per level capping at 4 per level.

Crushing Blows: +30% damage to monsters below half

Unkillable Warrior: You have 1 damage reduction per level at all times.

Yeah this is probably an awfully imbalanced suggestion, especially if you can get high resistances, but maybe if you start him with a resistance penalty (-10%?) than it would be more fair...
We made an expansion and it is awesome. Really, you should check it out, especially if you're looking for some extra challenge.

I don't think he needs a new glyph. CYDSTEPP just needs some kind of nerf so it can't be used multiple times. Maybe -10 HP per level per use...

One of the problems is that every point of resist is more valuable than the last until you hit the cap. If you stack resists you will be quite powerful. On the other hand, stacking attack bonuses is less effective each one you do (your percent damage increase is reduced for everyone you get). Since the monk/naga start with a negative value, their initial attack bonuses they get are more valuable than other classes. Simply put, the monk benefits from many items much more than other classes.

If the resist items/abilities were multiplicative instead of additive, it wouldn't be so magnified.
E.g. A monk with a dragon shield and a drac's blood shield would have a resist of:
1 - ((1 - 0.50) * (1 - 0.18) * (1 - 0.15)) = 65.15% resist instead of 83% (which is over the cap).

Good idea, but would still be useable many times if you had mana potions. With my suggestion, multiple uses of CYDSTEPP would kill you.

Yeah, if exhaustion is no mana regen, the problem is solved!
