I have two kingdoms, one fully upgraded/unlocked and one where I just finished Gaan-Telet. In the one with lower completion, I have to pay a 50 gold relockering fee whenever a prepared item is destroyed, whereas in the full kingdom this never happens. What does this difference depend on? I think I tried everything sensible, but I just can't figure it out.

You should always need to pay the 50g relockering cost when you destroy a lockered item during a run...

Can you screenshot not having to pay to replace an item?
