It's funny how good Gnome Bloodmages can work out as Warmongers thanks to their sanguine. Played this as a bloodmonster, my sanguine reached 50% before even converting to Dracul. Fun times.

05/05/2015, Gnome Bloodmage on Den of Danger

Well, Gnome is the strongest bloodmage, and you had 4 deity choices right off the bat, 2 of which are just pushover with them... Nevertheless the layout was a bit more mazelike than usual, so it did require me to do a bit more thinking than I usually do.

I did run into one bug, that was somewhat annoying on a daily, which was the invisible potion click bug, i.e. I clicked somewhere (in this case, on a tab to select a monster), and instead it drank my Health Potion. Of course I was at full health and of course I went halfway through the map before I found the next one... :o

Normally you'd get a Taurog few steps from the ladder, a Binlor reasonably close and a Dracul near the boss.

Now that you say it I also had a potion related bug. In my case it was preventing me from drinking the last mana potion I got out of Burndayraz until I moved with my character a bit.

So my prepped JJ replaced Taurog. Fine, I guess... :)

Anyway, as you said it, this run could've been warmonger, the amount of blood pools could have afforded a purely melee approach, even without any worship. Convert stuff, drink the potion just to build up Sanguine, and then go wild with thousands of percentages in health restoration just lying around.

Sometimes I wonder if this thread should count as cheating. Should it be an informal rule to do the DERP before reading the thread? A little bit of scouting can sometimes go a long way. None of them have been super hard lately, but eventually...

Did pretty mediocre on the Gnome Bloodmage run, but I've never been good with bloodmages. 21st, but 1st out of everyone that went Mystera, so I guess I've got that. Bad boss for a pure spellcaster to fight.

The Dwarf Paladin daily was fairly straightforward, GG, hero's helm for early game power, a few early absolutions, humility at level 2, powerlevelled through to level 5, took Aequitas with a ding, then spammed protections and cleansings to take down the Goo. Ended up parched and miser, could have gone for sub-4 minutes, maybe as fast as 3 if I estimated my available resources properly

Not gonna be anything special about the Dwarf Paladin score, except that the dungeon was reeeeealy overstacked. I had fun with the build, though:

I almost forgot that Consecrated Strike was a thing. I could've done Tower of Goo more easily. I got one Consecrated Strike in there, but I probably could've been snazzier about the whole run if I'd done 2 or 3 consecrations and done this boss first, maybe. I'd have to look at the numbers again.

Soul Orb gave me a big boost around level 5 or 6. I finally picked it up to take on two level 8 shades. This item is sort of made for Dwarf Paladins, it feels like.

Aequitas was a bit of a jerk, but a level-up heal let me tank enough hits for it to go smoothly.
