These ancient wraiths can sap your magical power and your connection to the gods. They have fairly weak stats, but if you let them get much mana off {{EET|Essence Drain}} they can hit pretty hard, and {{EET|Ensnare}} makes them harder to take down, especially if your damage isn't very high. You don't want to trade too many blows with them, as you will lose lots of piety to their {{EET|Corrupting Aura}} and get bogged down with snare stacks. Despite {{EET|Ensnare}}, fireballs can be fairly helpful against them due to their subpar health and lack of magic resistance.
