Talk:Alpha:APHEELSIK

This is a suggested format for individual Glyph pages. Note that other Glyphs may require slightly different format due to their unique properties, but I think the basic idea should be sound - covering all of the most important angles of each Glyph.

In the meanwhile I haven't actually linked anything to this page yet - pending agreement on the format. Feel free to make edits and see if you can improve where necessary.

Also a nice template would be good right now. Gentlegiant? :)

  • I think it looks pretty good. The issue with glyphs that this seems to address is that they're very situational based in use (requiring an explanation). Looks like a lot of work (much like the Gods pages) so kudos on the contribution... I'd help where I could but sometimes having to work around another person's framework and make corrections can be more time consuming than just doing it yourself. As far as the template, its kind of weak, may or may not need more details (like a section for "Gods perception" or something).--Gentlegiant03 15:37, 6 December 2010 (UTC)
    • I'll leave that up to you, I'm not good with terse things (as you can see :D ). In any case I'll go on and write as many of the other Glyph pages as I can. I guess we can also start linking APHEELSIK wherever it appears... --Headrock 15:43, 6 December 2010 (UTC)
    • Oh, and I updated the DDNav template. I see you said you hadn't linked to it yet so feel free to unlink this page from it, the others all point to the glyph overview page, it's getting pretty large in size but not overly so at the moment, needs a hide button (not sure the class is installed on this wiki though).--Gentlegiant03 16:55, 6 December 2010 (UTC) (forgot to sign this one D:)
      • Hmmm, is there anyone who is actually in-charge of this wiki anyway? I mean I see you doing all the maintenance work, which must be a serious bitch with all those bots making accounts, but there doesn't appear to be anyone else to help...
        • I know that Dislekcia is an admin and some of the developers are too but not sure who would be responsible for that... What would really help this wiki is to make external links reviewable before publication. Spammers wouldn't realize or care but it would at least protect the users (I don't feel comfortable making this change without a "founder" approving it). As far as the bots go: middle-click in Firefox, then Ctrl+Tab them makes it a 1 minute job. Biggest annoyance is the cluttering of the recent changes log :/ --Gentlegiant03 16:55, 6 December 2010 (UTC)
