Wizard's Tower

The Wizard's Tower is a building that houses the magical men and women of Desktop Dungeons. Initially only the Wizard is available (at a cost of 150, provided during the tutorial). Further upgrades later unlock the Sorcerer and Bloodmage classes as well as various preparation unlocks.

Upgrades

Level 1

  • Cost: 150g
  • Provides:

Level 2

  • Cost: 1000g
  • Provides:
    • Class: Sorcerer unlocked
    • Flame Magnet: Start the dungeon with the Glyph: BURNDAYRAZ BURNDAYRAZ in your inventory. If it doesn't exist in the dungeon, start with a random glyph instead.
    • Extra Glyph: An extra glyph is spawned in the dungeon, but glyph conversion values are lowered.
    • Fewer Glyphs: Spawns one less glyph in the dungeon, but glyph conversion values are increased.
    • Monster: Unlocks the ? monster and adds it to your base monster pool.

Level 3

  • Cost: 2000g
  • Provides:
    • Class: Bloodmage unlocked
    • Extra Attack Boosters: Spawns two extra attack boosters in the dungeon.
    • Extra Mana Boosters: Spawns two extra mana boosters in the dungeon.
    • Extra Health Boosters: Spawns two extra Health boosters in the dungeon.
    • Monster: Unlocks the ? monster and adds it to your base monster pool.

Challenges

Like other class buildings the Mage's Tower provides unique class challenges (bronze, silver, and gold) for each class.
