Link Steam Account missing

I think something is not recognizing my Steam account. How should I proceed?

There was a bug on the site that was giving the wrong instructions on how to find your Steam user ID. You shouldn't be entering a name, we need the unique set of numbers that points to your Steam account

Ok but how do I get these numbers? just seems my username links in the Steam ...

Hang on, how are you trying to link your account? Which button are you clicking in the game to make this all happen? I think I got confused between the two options
