Oooh, that health peandant trick was awesome, never occured to me and I love finding uses for that thing! Props to both of you guys!

Also, loved to read all of this - caviar, if you enjoyed the potion races ability to leave glyphs around, when you've had fun with Gnomes try it out with the Halfling Berserker. Not for the power, but for the strange exerience of having a Berserker with a sorta solved late game (gnome spellcaster style but w health! o.o) - except with all the utility you can squeeze out of glyphs. Weeeeeird.

Thanks! Already initiated to the halflingzerker in all its glory. PQI set me up with it for the labyrinth the other day. Figured I'd give it a shot after you singing its praises here on the forums, so I brought the VT and Binlor. The little teddybear left nothing but dust in his tracks. Stoneskin + potion spiking truly is a miracle of the universe.

Also, +1 to healthmonster halflings! Be it vineform or JJ boosts, who needs resists when you have giant refills? :)

Yep, as Tinker pointed out even makes Warrior Pact a legit thing, if you get your damage up somewhere else.

Warmongered the vicious dungeons with the chemist.

DL screenshot went missing somehow, you'll have to trust me on that one. Never before have I leveraged the blackspace on the Avatar floor to such an extent.

Good, but not as mind-blowingly good as I'd expected it to be (it did take taurog+dracul resists+scholar's pact to get through Namtar's 75% resist form, which is about as cheesy as it gets as far as warmonger runs go). Would probably go for a monk over this guy in most cases, the warmonger badge being the exception. The chemist does have an easier time handling magic attackers and curses as it's not as resist-dependent, but not having your potions available for spiking the boss can hurt quite a bit. You also lose out on glyph utility in general since you can't afford being too liberal with switching back and forth between forms - especially if you want to go back into regen-mode after quaffing your whupaz/TT potions. Maybe keeping BYSSEPS alone to use the mana refill on dings for one big melee spike per level would be a good idea if you don't care about the badge? Anyhow, he does serve as a more offensive (and not necessarily strictly worse) alternative to the monk!

Really enjoying the chemist so far. Interesting how builds on both extreme sides of the physical-magical spectrum work well with him. It's been too much of a headache for me to juggle the regen forms for some sort of hybrid build so far, but I'm guessing great things can be done with the adaptability it offers if you're not as reckless of a player as I am :)

^ This is actually rather great to hear, and I have noticed that I ran into a "oh, wait, my bloddy potions don't work, damn!" moments - which is great! Powerful class, regenfighty goodness anyway you take it, and it might make people appreciate the potion guys more if they get into it before they get into them. And you can't really use it properly if you bulldoze the whole map before you fight anything and pry the cobblestones out, which is a bit of a relief XD

Grats on the, er, rundown XD

Dwarf plugs, elf pulgs, Bycepss goodness (might make regular bycepss look even less appealing), more regen fighting, old shenanigans, new shennanigans and something you can't break with either PoS or Gnomes. How exactly do we stress-test whether this thing is too good?

---

Incidentally, if we're looking at how this guy plays if the PQI sets you up with a Gnome or a Halfling, the answer is probably - shennanigans. Halflings have a million uses for potions, and Gnomes can use some of those including dumping a ton of them into JJ who you might want to be in anyway because he gives boatloads of piety for Bycepps use and can ding you to refill whatever it is you want to refill. Both sholud work if you figure out all the shennanigan plugs since you can probably burn potions.

Goblins have an obvious sinergy, you can refill the bar you're having trouble refilling, and, well, you're a regen fighter exraordinaire, dinging for just CP or padding out that big kill you poured a lot of resources in so it effectively dings you is obviously good. Also, random full mana/health bar refill in the middle of a boss fight, on this guy, what's not to like? Not saying they're best, just that you're not up a creek with a gobbo. Should also be easy farming that poison strike if you ding first and mop up a bunch of popcorn, if that's your thing.

I LIKE these little bastards! They're janky as all hell, and this is just regular difficulty hard-Gaan'Telet, but by my pirate ancestors - are they ever awesome:

Image

Even had the fully revealed floor in there! Also, what with goblins being notorious kleptomaniacs this guy just had to carry two sensation stones out of the place. Is there something symbolic about him having two brass balls large enough you need an inventory to carry them around? 8-)

(Btw, play them with stuff you're supposed to play them with, this is just me being a weirdo. Allthough, full piety last chance, 2 sensation stones and bloodpools along with a CB activation left over on a JJ Gobbo run - not too shabby. And this guy isn't even close to being the ideal chemist ^^).
