So, on the Vampire, I followed the standard logic of Resists -> CP fodder -> extra damage, in terms of utility. So since no prep gave any resists, I picked up the highers CP value items (funny that Stone Sigil @ 30 cp would be one of those 8-) ).

I tend to go Bear Mace on the Steel dungeons due to the death protections, and convert it if I want to after finding the secret sub and killing the Indomitable.

I found the secret sub quite fast, and happily conceded that Bear Maces are like money - you need Bear Mace to score Bear Mace :) I didn't convert the SS because I wasn't near the threshold, when I remembered to convert my glyphs I was again mid-way through the CP bar, so there seemed to be no immediate benefit. Which turned out to be the right thing, and I'm wondering if someone like dislekcia would design this challenge based on the constant SS bashing out there, to show how even a vampire benefits form Piety...

Anyway, I played very cautiously, because I know vampires can be fragile, and I didn't think about blood cows and just killed anything higher level I could, going for L+3/4 kills thanks to the Orb. I did manage to score a decent amount of XP. When I saw the other boss, I got scared a bit, but then I realized that between the couple of blood cows, and the abundance of blood pools, plus the level-up I could pull off, it will not be unbeatable. And it wasn't - I completed the level with several badges including Parched. I guess, playing very cautiously did have its benefits in this case :)

So on the Bloodmage challenge, I wanted to see what the altars would be without me prepping any of them. I had a hunch that prepping an altar does not always mean you get something you wouldn't have gotten otherwise. Turned out to be true!

I went in with Apothecary / Gold / More Glyph / Zot. My game plan was to blast everything sub-boss into smithereens, leveraging the water on both sides for B2P high-level kills, drinking up my Mana Potions to ensure L+4 kills, and then switch to melee for the boss thanks to the massive amount of blood pools I would generate. Apothecary served dual purpose (allows Mana Potions and / or the melee boosting potions). I really-really wanted to pick the Battlemage ring, but Zot just proved irresisistible (for the stat boosts). More Glyphs just to have more variety.

Since Dracul spawned, I was quite happy, and once I got to the point that all undead were dead, I joined up and picked up all sorts of boons. The map was ideal for piety-farming his piety, and in return I got showered in his boons, including lifesteal and +6 levels of sanguine. I had Sanguine 60% in the end, and more than 30 blood pools, so the boss fight was quite manageable.

Today's challenge was I think more generous, the shop items were all awesome, I was sobbing when I left items like Soul Orb, Mage Plate and Yendor in the stores... I'm not sure what to expect in these challanges. Yesterday's was a bitch, but today's was I think rather straightforward, in fact Bloodmage is probably one of the ideal classes for Western Jungle due to the ability to leverage the water tiles.

I only got 3 badges (cheeky, ding!max, unstoppable). And of course slowest time from all, no surprise there either... Need to change my nick to "Snail".

This is comfirmed : I consistently am the slowest player...
EDIT : being slow, Tinker even managed to slip his post while I was writing. Now, who is the real snail man ? :x

Also, as a side note : not playing one day breaks the streak (I was wondering how it works). So, for sure I will never rise very high there (can't play everyday...)

My time held up quite well on this last one, wow. O.O

And you slowpokes got the distinct advantage on the vampire run in playing as if one poseses a brain, whereas I did not XD And on this one too. :)

Maybe on the next challenge my time will actually register. I generally get good times (instincts honed from years of playing multiplayer RTS; I'm now basically hardwired to make snap decisions because delaying loses games) so it kinda bugs me that I'm kept off the leaderboard by some unseen bug.

Today's one is bugged. I prepped Taurog, he didn't show up.

Which is a good thing, because if Wonnafyt doesn't work on magic imune targets then there's no way to win if you actually have to kill all three bossess. If you only have to kill the Foreman, though, that's perfectly doable. Well, kinda doable, at least. My browser crashed before I could test either, there goes my winning streak too.

Not through any fault of mine :( I had all I needed if either of those things worked, and I've killed the phys imune guy...

Half-Dragon on Magma Mines will probably need to be explicitly blacklisted because of this possibility. If the boss had been positioned literally anywhere else it would have been fine and we could have finished him by knocking him into a wall, but edge-hugging with his back to a magma tile prevents that.

Once again my time didn't register, although today it doesn't really matter much. No one is winning this.

Actually, preparing Taurog (He showed up for me; no idea what happened for Lujo) is what made it possible to win in my case, since I was able to move the Magic Immune boss next to a wall thanks to the cowardly trait and kill him that way. Made me wonder if the map was cooked that way, but I'm pretty sure it couldn't be won without the Taurog prep so probably not.

Yeah, I ran into the problem today of dealing with the magic immune boss in the Magma Mines. Of course he had to spawn right on the wall, where I couldn't knock him into any walls due to lava on both sides. I thought that corrosion would finish him off even if I couldn't damage him, but apparently I was wrong.
