:( Also slightly bummed about the daily. The titan guitar/ledger (even though the latter is out of region) subs or something to similar effect would have made it a nice gimmick. Prepping Taurog as a precaution for this very scenario does make sense in retrospect, but I'd never have thought about it that way. I believe Astral said he prepped Taurog for the vampire in VGT to clear up stairs without having to kill bloodcows, that should have rung a bell considering the map and the class at hand.. Hindsight's 20/20, as they say.

With both today's scenario and the SS+Brandonnn sub the other day in mind, it seems like putting some extra thought into prepping for possible hand-tailored niche situations like these might pay off.

I don't think these are designed...

But I'm glad that it really was impossible to do without Taurog, I kept thinking I'm missing something.

I also think that the competition will not be the most important thing, but the feeling you get with only having one chance to play it and talk about it afterwards. If anybody wants to take it away by reading the spoilers it is really up to them.

I don't know about the dailies being deliberately designed or not. Certainly, it seems doubtful that the devs would deliberately author a challenge that is immediately lost if you don't choose a specific preparation. I can see the class + dungeon combination being chosen to make interesting challenges, though. And of course, it bears to repeat again that, since this is a testing environment, it's the time and place to work out what can and can't be done, as well as an excellent opportunity to find game-ruining bugs :P

You know, I'm still a bit disappointed that the Hurr and Durr got changed from 100% resistance to immunity. Prior to that, there were a lot more ways to get around them. Since Mystera spawned in, weakening would have been an option and this would have been totally winnable.

I'm on the opinion that dailies are designed. The monster placement and Glyph selection always looked deliberate to me.
I think the devs believed today's daily had more solutions than Taurog, but made a mistake somewhere.

Btw, what was the reason for making the bosses immune as opposed to leaving them resistant?

Well, even though I was more sad than worked up about yesterday, they got me totally mollified with today's romp ^^ I guess they might be happy with us finally discovering the little bastard properly, and there's a whole ton of stuff in there which plays to his flexibility.

I ignored the scoring completely, and just enjoyed myself. I even accidentally clicked on the last throphy to sell it before a really easy mopup, and I saluted the very lovely class/race selection by even bringing in the RBS :)

EDIT: I even almost played it Faithless, not sure why I didn't :)
I almost got pwned by Shifty Brickwork!

Since the leaderboard is still not reporting my time, I'll just post it here: 5:16 for the March 14 daily

Only important prep was Glowing Guardian. Just rockin out with old-fashioned Cleansing to beat my way through the physical resist boss.
