I still like the "every day the leaderboard is sorted by a random and completely nonsensical stat" idea :)

I've basically been dissing badges as a metric at every opportunity because they encourage people to use less stuff rather than more. Many race/class combinations thrive off using things which you get a badge for not using. Anyone who gets hoarder isn't playing his race, which means the challenge isn't to get a race/class thorugh a dungeon but just a class. Anyone who goes purist didn't even pay attention to the preps. It's not about fun, even, I bet some people find them fun (otherwise people wouldn't be asking to have them displayed), it's about how they reward you for not using things as opposed to the current metrics which reward you for using things. Badges end up saying more about features which allow you to get them than players.

And also - vets are very experienced at getting them, and I think it'd be even worse in terms of how someone couldn't match them. If anyone cared about his badge rating they'd be getting a worse one because they've been using stuff while a vet wasn't. Paying attention to badges played a big part in why many things have been chronically underused, and dailies primarily look like a vehicle to get people to play stuff they wouldn't otherwise touch with a 10 foot pole (and there are way too many things in that category for no good reason).

Bit late on Sunday's Slime Pits run, but my run had a lot of neat altar-swapping, starting Mystera until Goo was down, then Taurog for attack and phys resist; at this point I realized I could get 100 piety with Taurog and that my other altars were Pactmaker and JJ, so I got to 100 piety, which incidentally involved just reaching level 9, then converted to JJ, desecrated Mystera, got Chaos Avatar to reach level 10 (which also cancels out Mystera's desecration punishment), then Consensus back into Taurog to avoid any punishments (though I could've just gotten petition thanks to Consensus instead.)

I love it when I get this much use out of all of the altars!

Well, decided to check out Monday's daily since I was staying up late-ish, having seen what it is, I'm not so sure anymore. I'm kinda curious to see how many streaks will still be going after today.

Nice, I was wondering whether the was in the daily rotation.

My preps are reported wrong; I actually took Dracul, Shield, Stone Sigil, and Battlemage Ring

Okay, wasn't as bad as I thought it'd be, never tried goatperson until today so I was pretty scared of this one. Took stone sigil, compression, shield, and battlemage ring.

OK, so has anyone tried choosing both the Extra Glyph and Fewer Glyphs preparation before? Or is this the first time this combination has appeared? I don't really like the class so perhaps I'll just choose a few crazy things...but the streak....

EDIT: Well never mind I went with the safe choice. A little stumble here and there but nothing too serious.

I went with both, you end up with your glyphs having 130 CP.

Uh-oh, a goat without a ledger or a dagger in a daily, this is gonna get ugly is what I though, too, but... (I went into detail, heavy spoilers, do the challenge then read).

I really do have to adjust to the fact that you can buy Whoopaz on these. I don't think I remembered to buy it once, I always forget.

Also, does anyone else feel there's too much elite/high-end stuff thrown around these runs? There's, like, always Yendor in the shops and all sorts of similar things I see once in a blue moon in regular play...

Btw, time is finally 20 minutes ^^ Killed myself by accident with Goats one too many times, went about it all paranoid and stuff.
