To add on, I will give a little analysis and tons of spoilers for today's daily:
Preps:
Slot 1: You are better off taking Martyr Wraps (see spoilers below for boss positions) or Compression Seal, Elite Items only gave a notable Wicked Guitar (but you don't really need this unless you are going for top XP)
Slot 2: JJ, Transmutation Seal and Blue Bead - all of these are useful, JJ obviously for boosts and CA (to top XP), Blue Bead might be handy with you need extra mana for the fireball against Tower of Goo, Transmutation Seal lets you access the Secret Sub full of gold
Slot 3: Mage Plate (by far the best for obvious reasons), Attack Boosters, Shield (least useful)
Slot 4: Vampiric Blade, Extra Glyphs and RBS - I can't evaluate Extra Glyphs, it might give you something useful to access the Secret Sub but otherwise, the other 2 preps are much better. Vampiric Blade lets you steal life and is overall useful for conserving resources (just be careful if you are going to worship GG), whereas RBS is mostly only good for Tower of Goo
Default Glyphs: Default Bosses: Default Altars: Notable Shop Items With Elite Items, Mage Plate and Vampiric Blade Prepped:
As for my run, I don't even recommend for people to follow in my footsteps, pretty risky. Wicked Guitar was close and I managed to use it for every single mob. But I was already level 6 when I found Binlor's altar first and joined him then. Later, I messed up a little and took PM's Consensus and Alchemist Pact (to gain XP from drinking potions), so I wasn't able to convert to GG. In fact, as I had converted off Mage Plate and Wonafyt pretty early, I had a "tough" time going through the bosses and had no way to align monsters to knock them through walls (they were all in corners or the edge of the map). For anyone interested, you can Pisorf and align Tower of Goo to knock it through walls but not Iron Man - for him, to leverage on Knockback bonus, you need to Wonafyt a monster to it. Also, since I had no way of gaining Piety, I lost the potential XP from 9 potions (roughly).
So, my top XP spot can be easily beaten by someone worshipping JJ (he has no issues with you drinking potions, but be careful if you want to do Chaos Avatar since you pretty much can't desecrate GG for piety boost and there's no Agnostic's Collar, at least not with Elite Items, Mage Plate and Vampiric Blade prepped).
