I did the usual Tinker's kill chain, 4 > 5 > 7 > 8 > Tomithy > Rex (good old PISSORF chains, hence the low damage for daily) followed by killing slowed popcorn. I don't remember seeing Imawal. Guess I insta converted it.

I suddenly remembered something today, which I wanted to check with others.

I stood between Rex and Tomithy today and attacked Rex. He was pushed back 1 square, so does that happen all the time? As in, if target doesn't get pushed back, then boss himself is moved backwards.

But that's not the main point, main point is Tomithy wasn't damaged at all by the indirect knockback damage from Rex. Is this a bug? Or am I not getting something? Btw, I don't do this (self-cannon) and can't remember if I have done it in the past.

[Oh, maybe I know why! I had knockback from Binlor, and hence I pushed Rex back when attacking him. So, actually since he was pushed back, his extra knockback damage wasn't applied to me and Tomithy. Hey, I didn't know you need to not have knockback to use the self-cannon method, guess we learn new things everyday]

Orc Crusader in Shifting Passages

Shifting Passages is always treacherous, but I think today there were options to tame it. Also, the character was very synergistic, and there were a lot of great items available as preps and in store!

Spoilers:

I went Binlor->JJ. Earthmother is too risky for my tastes, and I just couldn't fit in Mystera. I wanted to start in Binlor for the glyphs and interior (re-)decoration; I wanted to end in JJ for the CA; I guess I could've tripped through Mystera, but as I aggressively front-converted pretty much all of my glyphs to benefit from the Orc bonus, I just didn't see the benefit, especially with all the sneaky magic-using monsters around...

Orc Crusader in Shifting Passages

I had to waste lots of space to find good targets but otherwise no problems.

The positioning of the high-level monsters, combined with the unusually low level of "fat" meant that you largely could just let the passages close around you and it wouldn't matter. The only issue is the lack of good targets near the dungeon entrance, but given how forgiving the rest of the setup was that was not really an issue.
