*Rat Monarch in Doubledoom*

A pretty straight forward daily as far as Rat runs are concerned. The magic resistance on the bosses has very little effect on the Rat, and the shop selection is pretty good.

Probably my first Rat Monarch win too, but I still haven't unlocked them yet. I also used the Add/Subtract Glyph cheese that makes a normal amount of spells convert for 130 instead of 100 or 70 for massive corrosion, I'm not sure why people don't do that unless it's obscure or frowned upon for some reason.

With a Rat and no Bear Mace in the preps, I took the extra glyph... knockback makes a huge difference for them, and so I want the extra chance to get PISORF and/or ENDISWAL (so I can get into the vault hoping for Black Smith... today's money vault is really good for Rats, too). The reduced conversion value isn't a big deal for races with low thresholds like Rats (with level ups and the fact that you want to cycle your inventory to buy to heal you get plenty of corrosion, but high glyph conversion is really strong for some huge early leverage that can save you black space, so it's not bad either).

By the sounds of Vemb's report the extra glyph might well have been PISORF (which was also right beside a shop, which was extra sweet)... I certainly didn't find the magic resistance to be unfavourable at all. Yeah, a bit inconvenient to move them (Iron Man's position wasn't great), but that can be done with multiple tries while regen killing early monsters... Earth Mother was there to slow them for final blows. Although you really don't have to move them either... you can just teleport other monsters in to use as rams. The most Rat unfavourable thing in my dungeon was the sheer number of snakes and wraiths cutting into my options at times (although a few of them made for good IMAWAL options).

*Human Berserker in Halls of Steel*

Today was an interesting daily, at least it was for me. I bought the Venom Dagger, forgot about it and then proceeded to worship Glowing Guardian. Needless to say, he swiftly punished me. Luckily I only had 3 HP pot and 4 mana pots, the 50% magic resistance orb, the Venom Dagger and the Stone Sigil in my menu, and since Berserkers have a built in 50% magic resistance it didn't hurt too badly when he wiped my inventory. The dungeon was still a pushover in the end.

Kind of "sad" that this thread isn't as active as before when we had more players playing the dailies.

Especially miss the more vocal players such as Tinker, Darvin and others.

I don't really post much, now just posting my daily run since I haven't posted anything for quite a while already:

At long last, the time has finally come to reveal my true identity! Yes, it is I, and victory is now mine forever (or at least for the next few months)!

... in all seriousness, this was one of the hardest dailies I ever had the misfortune to face. Probably the hardest one in terms of lategame difficulty. Didn't help that I only discovered the 2nd boss at level 8 with pretty much every decision already having been made, and sure enough he was the worst possible one. I needed to use everything I still had left, down to the last bloodpool (although I could have played a tiny bit more optimally). Not sure how anyone managed to do this Purist, even though the preps were not that great and I probably could have utilized them better.
