Yes... but you'll know if that's an issue before it happens because your a Vampire. Patches can be converted. Things to prep the dungeon or get out that situation occur commonly. It's a no risk gamble with a big payout. The wiki is definitely wrong... Patches is almost always worth it in a Daily. The cases were the risk is too high are easy to spot and quite rare.

By the way, what did you do yesterday to gain so much piety?

I only got 194. I think I just used Dracul, and that's it.

Yep, started in Binlor, got boons, built to 100 piety, converted to Dracul. Once the bosses were done, I converted to TT, desecrating the other altars and threw most of the money at him to buy multiple levels of learning for cleanup. The key to getting top piety here is in using multiple gods... if you only use one you lose the opportunity to gain piety from the other sources (ie. no Binlor leaves a ton of piety in the walls untapped).

Any source of knockback also helps build up Binlor piety (just knock things into walls), Bearmace, Binlor's Boon, Pisorf. Binlor is one of the "piety farm" gods (as in easy to earn tons of piety under him, granted there are walls on the map, most maps are fine, some are really not so, like Ick Swamp is just screaming plants and has a general low wall count).

Chemist also comes to mind as in if you are confident of getting to level 2 (without having to die), you can always quaff a mana potion to activate mana mode and just spam pisorf to farm Binlor piety while at level 1.

I guess it boils down to play style also. I love to try to max both XP and Piety at the same time, so I tend to like to switch gods a lot. Sometimes, I can get top for both, most of the time though only getting top in one of them. I can't play speedrun, I guess I will fail by misclicks and need tons of practice, my brain is just too wired to keep thinking about how I can max XP and slowly consider my options.

how much blackspace is left after you are done farming Binlor piety?

I am not comfortable being lvl 1-2 with no blackspace left.

Btw, are there any videos of ppl farming piety? I would like to see it. It'd be nice to have 300 piety instead of 200, more boons is always good.
