Ok, I made it. I was sort of expecting to get mega-screwed, but this wasn't as bad as most Goatperson runs. The spoiler about going counterclockwise probably saved me. Flame Magnet was good to have - let me take on the initial Level 2 Gorgon without exploring at all. Not quite as nice as Smuggler's Den would have been, but I'll take it.
I almost died when I clicked a level 9 troll on accident because I was just exploring too fast. 2HP from death...
Anyway, a Battlemage ring and Blood Curse let me take on Tower of Goo at "fake-level" 7. I took one Absolution to be able to tank a single hit, not that I could afford Whupaz, but I was getting refills from conversions and I had Whurrgarbl, so it seemed prudent. And it was. I actually killed this boss off of burn stacks by hitting a popcorn monster.
Aequitas was really easy by the time I found him, and with my Battlemage ring ready to go and all.
It was really funny seeing the items be so much more identical for everyone than usual. A few Perseverance Badges here and there, and a couple Binlors, but the rest was all straight-up Goatperson safety start: Flame Magnet, Stone Sigil (piety/kill), and Elven Boots. I guess Quest Items was more popular than Binlor. Binlor is usually safe, but since you can't "join" him, you don't get PISORF and you can lose piety if you don't get good glyph drops. Pretty hilarious. Good thing I went with Quest Items.
