"Like the Seafolk, Swashbucklers come from somewhere beyond the endless waters of the west. Due to the great pragmatism of your kingdom, their dubious origins remains uninspected, so long as they put their fancy footwork to use in dungeons."
The Swashbuckler is a special Tier 4 class from the Desktop Dungeons: Extreme Edition mod, unlocked by paying 3000 gold at the Guild. The class specializes in building up temporary dodge percentage.

Races
Swashbuckler can become a great striker with the
Human or
Orc race. Both races add raw power and make his dodges and
GETINDARE more valuable.
Since
swashbuckler needs casting spells for dodge buildup, spellcasting approach with
Elf or
Gnome (preferably with
Mystera Annur or
Jehora Jeheyu)
can be extremely powerful. Other races are also suitable for spellcasting or hybrid builds.
Deities
Tikki Tooki is a fantastic choice for a
swashbuckler. Since he loves to constant dodging, piety can accumulate very quickly. Moreover he gives permanent dodge chance, poison, God boon: Learning Learning,
and a powerful potions to get free hits on bosses.
Since you plan to cast spells a lot to build up your dodg chances, then gods that reward spell-casting like
Mystera Annur or
Jehora Jeheyu can become decent choices.
Mystera Annur gives extra mana points, mana restores, situational boons, and she's a very good and safe option. However, it is not recommended to get
Mystic Balance.
It makes
GETINDARE glyph becomes less mana efficient.
Jehora Jeheyu is a wonderful god for spellcasters and everyone in general, and he often reacts to constant dodges.
For the most part,
Taurog is a poor choice for the
swashbuckler because of his hatred of glyphs.
Other gods might be a good choice for the
swashbuckler due to their boons, which help complement his strengths.
